The movie seems to be bringing a lot of attention to it because of its bestselling book. I'm excited to see how it comes out. I think that the director, Gary Ross, will bring about the goods of this movie. Unfortunately, I feel that just like the Harry Potter movies, this movie will NOT be like the book and will be forgotten soon after the final movie is made. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Harry Potter movies and loved the Hunger Games books, but there is a fine line between books and movie making. There are a lot of limitations in this movie making world.
The last thing I have to say is, after all my cliché criticism, that I am very excited to watch this movie, and look forward to enjoying not only this one, but the next ones as well. That is, if they decide to make them.
In my opinion, Hunger Games was a great book, but it doesn't seem like it would work as a movie very well. Honestly, I think the movie business is running out of ideas. Most modern movies are based on books or, most recently, old comics.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Mason, it seems that people are trying too hard to bring back things that are past their prime. And Lindsay, I enjoy watching the movies a lot more, because it is a lot more fun!
